SING ME BACK HOME

POSTED IN PRISON LIFE

24/04/2014

Its already number six in our top 10 prison songs.
This week a short story about a song on the gruesomeness of being on death row.
Sing Me Back Home is sung from the perspective of a man observing another prisoners last moment on death row.
Merle Haggard is a true country singer. Not only is it a well written story,

it also brings back common memories people have from their youth.
Haggard shows in his perspective the last moment of freedom people have, even in death row. For us country is a genre we are not familiar with but after listening to this song we’ll probably play some more at the office.
